Paul is a film written and starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. This film is for nerds and geeks as there are loads for references SI FY films and Alien sites but it is all done with great care as not to alienate anyone who is not into alot of SI FY.
The basic plot is Pegg and Frost are nerds and best friends who have gone to The comic con in San Diego and then drive around America visiting famous alien sites when they meet a real alien named Paul who needs there help to escape from the government who are hunting him down and from this point chaos of two nerds and an alien escalates from kidnapping to gun fights
The comedy in this film is well done and if you like Hot fuzz and Shaun of the dead then this film is right up your street and the voice of Seth Rogen as Paul is a nice touch. The cast is well put together and works well together

Captian America : The First Avenger
First and most important thing to mention before i get into the review of this film is that I am a big comic fan so when i saw this film i already knew the charactors origins but the the film re-writes this and i thought it worked really well.
The Plot is about the Americans make Steve Rogers into a super soldier but they consider him to valuble to put into battle so use him a poster boy but when his best friend is captured but the Red Skull Captian America proves what he can to.
The thing that let the film down was the Red Skull or more to the point Hugo Weaving who's terrible Accent and poorly done Red Skull face mask just didn't sound or look right to me also the fight scene between Cap and the Red skull was far from brilliant.
Over all the film was very enjoyable and set up the Avengers film very well,
Id also like to say that Toby Jones who plays Arnim Zola was very good but it took me half an hour to work out that it was the same man out of the Gomez Whipping Piccadilly video which made me smile little thing like that make watching films extra special

Harry Potter and The Deathly Hollows part 2
This film is the last installment of the Harry Potter series and I have to say that i was very impressed with it .
Ive never read the books so I wasn't comparing the two which in this case was probably a good thing. its taken 8 films including this one to finish the series and i did know how the film was going to end but it didn't spoil the film at all for me.
The special effects are amazing in the film from the goblins and dragons to battle scene at Hogwarts. And it was a welcome return to the flight scene with the brooms which had been missing from the last film.
The performances were very good in this film the main cast did a very good job but for me one of the best performance was Helena Bonham Carter and Julie Walters.

The Losers
Well first and for most id like to say that the trailer for this film does not do it justice. The film is a high octane mix of guns explosions and wise cracks which is right up my street. the trailer only scratch the service of what its about.
Its a cross between the A team and The Expendables (films i will review in the future). The Plot is pretty predicable but enjoyable, The cast is headed by Jeffrey Dean Morgan who plays a great part but Chris Evans and Jason Patric steal the show in my opinion.
over all the film is a great no brainier to watch for a action fan but does have some pretty funny parts to.

Drive Angry
The plot to Drive Angry could not be simpler if it tried, dead man comes back from hell to save what is left of his family.
Nicolas cage delivers a standard performance and the anti hero and Amber Heard kicks butt as the hard hitting Piper but for me William Fitchner as the accountant is star of this film.
If your are fan of Muscle cars then you will love this film the cars look and sound amazing, Pipers Dodge is an amazing machine.
The action in the film is amazing and at some points comical and gory but overall I was hooked by this film

The Green Hornet
The Green Hornet is a film that is based on a radio show from the 1930's and an comic from the 1940's and most famously the t.v program from the 1960's the original TV show starred Van Williams and Bruce lee.
The 2011 film starring Seth Rogen and Jay Chou was for me a bit of a disappointment the story was extremely Predictable and it struggled to keep me engaged, The action in the film was very well put together and Jay Chou shows off some very impressive skills but he did have alot to live up to taking on a roll made famous by Bruce Lee.
This film did pay respect to the TV it was based upon my personal favourite was the sketch's of Bruce Lee in the early part of the film but the famous 1 inch punch was over done.
over all the film did not live up to hype that surrounded it in my opinion and the addition of Cameron Diaz added nothing to the film
